What is PXCELL® technology?
The innovative PXCELL® purification technology of
advanced heterogeneous photocatalysis
( advanced
photocatalytic oxidation) is developed in the PXCELL® cell, composed of a high-density UV lamp housed within a catalyst designed in the form of a honeycomb.
This
high-tech catalyst
is composed of a
patented alloy of noble metals
and coated with a hydrophilic material that captures ambient humidity.
This design allows the reactions generated starting from water vapor (H20) to be clean, to occur more quickly and to strengthen the bond between hydrogen and oxygen molecules, so that once
the disinfectant molecule is in the air lasts longer
.
The energy provided by the photons of light in the catalyst reacts with the ambient water vapor and generates Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂), Hydroxyl (OH-), Hydroxyl Radicals (OH) and Superoxides (O2-).
These oxidants work in synergy creating a purifying plasma that
actively removes
up to 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, odors, smoke, pollen, dust, mold, mites, spores, and volatile organic compounds from air and surfaces

After performing their purifying function, these compounds dissolve naturally, becoming harmless water (H2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
Other passive technologies such as Hepa filters, UVC light, etc ... are only effective when the pathogen reaches them, that is, when it is aspirated and absorbed by the machine, which is not effective, for example, for infected

Humidity consideration
PXCELL® requires at least 40% humidity to provide an adequate amount of hydrogen peroxide.
If you live in a dry area, installing a humidifier is recommended to keep the humidity at an optimal level.
